We are dedicated to serving the community in which we live and work. Volunteer service and philanthropy are a large part of the of PBC’s commitment to its community.
PBC’s President, Brian Kathenes, encourages involvement in the community. He leads the charge by example. Brian is an eagle scout and has served as a Cubmaster and a Scoutmaster. He is the President of the Hope Chamber of Commerce, and served his community as a youth sports coach, volunteer instructor, food bank collection coordinator, board member of the Hope Community Players, Special Olympics coach, Zoning Board member, and First Aid & Rescue Squad Instructor.
His volunteer service has been acknowledged by the Boy Scouts of America with the District Award of Merit and by the Mayor of Hope and the Hope Township Council with the Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award.
Progressive Business Concepts supports its community through service in a variety of areas:
• Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts Girl Scouts Venture program
• Youth sports: soccer, baseball, basketball, chess club, cheerleading
• Community theater: Major sponsors and founding members of the Hope Community Players, a not-for profit true community theatre for youth and families.
• Food banks & food pantries: Local financial support and volunteer time with food pantries and food banks
• School expansion and funding drives
